Jessica Doucette
Jessica Doucette is a Massachusetts family law attorney and a certified family mediator. She counsels and represents women and men in contested and uncontested divorce, guardianship, conservatorship, paternity, custody, spousal, and child support matters.
Jessica is an effective negotiator and litigator who guides her clients through emotionally turbulent legal situations with compassion and care. She seeks to de-escalate conflict and achieve resolutions that are fair and appropriate. In addition, she is a passionate advocate for children and believes their interests should be the highest priority.
Jessica is recognized as a family law guardian ad litem (GAL), helping the probate and family courts to resolve disputes over the custody of children or incompetent adults.
Jessica was previously involved with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association. Every week between 2010 and 2019, she has supervised a free guardianship clinic for low-income individuals at Norfolk Probate and Family Court in Canton, Massachusetts. For her dedicated service, she received the 2014 Denis Maguire Pro Bono Award and the 2011 Meg Connolly MVP Award.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Jessica worked for 10 years as a paralegal in family, real estate, and employment law, and she began her career in financial services. She decided to attend law school to help clients get through trying family times successfully.
Jessica has two daughters and enjoys kayaking, reading, and rose gardening in her free time.
